NAZARETH HOUSE 14 STREAMS FUNDRAISER VIDEO
Shooting the fundraiser video for Nazareth House Fourteen Streams was incredibly special! It was amazing seeing the love shared amongst one another. This amazing non-profit organisation has done the most incredible things over the past 130 years, spread around in different provinces in South Africa helping all that they can. It was such a privilege to be able to capture the kindness and care that they hand out to less fortunate and who they open their doors to at their homes. They make every soul a beautiful one and give a home to those that aren’t lucky enough to have their own, or the care they need as well, that they were not previously getting.
With all the genuine kindness and warmth displayed by Nazareth House Fourteen Streams, it made shooting the fundraiser video an honour. It was very clear to see that the Sisters of Nazareth have a true desire and passion in what they do at the community centre in Johannesburg. In order to shoot this fundraiser video we had to travel to each of the Nazareth Houses, three houses in this case, and then interview all the sisters that worked there. The first house that we visited was the Nazareth House Fourteen Streams in Johannesburg. Each sister had such a kind and beautiful soul, but in order to really get to know and understand everyone, we had to spend as much time with them all as possible. Our main aim for this fundraiser video was to be able to get the sisters and people that worked at Nazareth House to really open up and tell us their story. We wanted to know how Nazareth House has affected their lives and influenced them as well as how they connect with their patients and the relationships that they have built. This was important for us, as we wanted to show and express the emotions as purely as we could, to be able to do justice for this incredible organisation in this fundraiser video.
Even though the nuns were full of warmth and generosity, it still took a little while for them to truly open up to us and feel completely comfortable while doing the interviews with them for this fundraiser video. It was mostly because of this, that the last shots we took closer to the end were the most valuable and precious as they opened up more easily. In the end it took a day to shoot each of the houses for this fundraiser video which we were very content with.
It was such a special privilege to be able to experience the Nazareth House and all its beauty, from the people to the surroundings. We were constantly in awe from the moment we got there and will most definitely always have a place in our hearts for them!
