NAZARETH HOUSE CAPE TOWN CHILDREN DIVISION CHARITY ORGANISATION VIDEO
Our team was fortunate enough to be able to film the charity organisation video for the Nazareth House for children in Cape Town. It was a truly emotional rollercoaster for us filled with so many sad and happy moments created and triggered from the raw spiritual and soulful moments. Like it’s sister in Johannesburg, the Nazareth House in Cape Town caters for babies and children, however, the one in Cape Town is more specifically targeted for children with special needs. The care the nuns provide in this house are done through rendering comprehensive, holistic services to address their children’s physical, psychological, medical, educational, nutritional and social needs as best as they possibly can.
Our hearts were completely touched during the filming of this charity organisation video as we saw and interacted with the children they currently have in their care. Presently, the Nazareth house has is reregistered to accommodate 40 profoundly disabled children, from birth to the ages of 18 years. The nuns are committed to providing love, nurturing and complete protection for these orphans and other vulnerable children. Sadly, we were made aware that many families disown or even abuse their children because of their disability, as they see it as a burden or their medical status may be exposed and the family ridiculed because of it. It was this that made it our goal and aim in this charity organisation video, was to create a complete warm and trusting environment when doing the interviews with the nuns, in order to hear their whole story and how these children have affected their lives and influenced them to be who they are.
In this charity organisation video we wanted the stories of the people who worked there to be heard so they could connect with as many people as possible. We heard so many heartfelt stories and are so excited to be able to share them with the rest of the world!
