Conference Photography – ISDH 2013
In 2013 South Africa hosted the 19th International Symposium of Dental Hygiene. Our team was in charge of the conference photography for the four days of the symposium. International guests were welcomed with a cocktail reception at Ernie Ells’ wine estate, where they were invited to visit the wine cellars and learn about the production process. This fun afternoon was followed by dinner at Ernie Ells’ Big Easy restaurant in Stellenbosch.
The next day of our conference photography included capturing the opening ceremony at the CTICC, where the delegates from around the world introduced their countries by wearing traditional outfits and presenting their flags. This grand introduction was followed by an exhibition of the newest technologies in dental hygiene. The leading brands involved in manufacturing dental hygiene products were exhibiting their ground-breaking technologies and discussing future cooperations with fellow delegates. As a vital part of conference photography, we captured the setup of the expo; including the stalls, the visitors and the interactions. This eventful day finished with a cocktail party at the Westin Hotel, where our team captured portraits of the delegates arriving at the location, as well as the speeches and congratulations.
The final part of the conference photography was the award ceremony and the gala dinner hosted at Spier Wine Farm. The delegates enjoyed performances by local artists and some traditional South African dishes. Our team was in charge of capturing and printing souvenir photographs of all the guests. We also documented the award ceremony, during which the participants received awards for various achievements in the field of dental hygiene. Spier Wine Estate was the perfect choice for this closing ceremony. With a truly African feel, great hospitality and the space to accommodate nearly five hundred guests, Spier left lasting impression on the international guests. The delegates were able to download the conference photographs from our website once they’ve returned home. Our photographs were used in various international publications, depicting the event and the unique beauty of Cape Town itself.
