BNI gala dinner Photography

It was such a pleasurable treat doing the gala dinner photography for BNI this year. Held at the most exquisite restaurant, nestled at the foot of Table mountain, in Kirstenbosch Gardens, Moyos provided for a beautiful evening. The jaw-dropping scenery, made up of humble mountains and lush, abundant gardens tied in perfectly with the modern African theme for the evening. What a great canvas for our gala dinner photography for 2017!

From start to finish, there was never a dull moment, the bright, bold colours scattered throughout the decor, ensured this. The scenery inside the restaurant was a perfect competitor for the scenery outside, both as beautiful as each other in their own way. As the guests trickled in slowly, creating an exciting buzz and buoyant atmosphere, they were greeted by a stunning lady in a champagne skirt. What a class-A ice breaker, we loved it! As the guests were afforded the option to mingle and socialise, they were also able to bring out their inner child with a little bit of face-painting. A perfect picture moment for our gala dinner photography! The night only continued to get better.

The guests were welcomed by so many beautiful textures and vibrant colours as they entered the dinning area. The wooden branches and hessian cloth table runners fit like a puzzle piece. The contrast of the natural, brown tones against the lively pops of colour from the ceramic dinner plates and seat cushions was perfect. The funky traditional African infused patterns on the dinner plates went hand -in-hand with the theme and the candles scattered on the tables bringing just enough warmth for the perfect ambiance. Soon the room was submerged with the most divine smells of traditional African foods, tantalising everybody’s tastebuds. So yummy and defiantly a favourite of ours!

Soon the prizes and awards were on their way, slipping in a few fun ones such as a best dressed competition, keeping things light and humorous. We absolutely loved the effort put into the outfits and had so much fun capturing them for our gala dinner photography. The rest of the evening was completed with a great comedian for entertainment and overflowed with laughter and dancing. We had such a great time doing the gala dinner photography for BMI and capturing all the great memories and moments that were made.
