Zeitz MOCCA Opening Ceremony Photography

Doing the opening ceremony photography for Zeitz MOCCA was an amazing experience and a huge honour! The whole event was chocka-block of glitz and glam from the get-go. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful that needed to be captured and documented, our minds were definitely blown. With such high-end sponsors such as BMW, Standard Bank and Gucci and many more, the event was incredibly elite and grand. We managed to capture some incredible shots of the building itself, depicting its sheer size and showing what a monumental artwork it is on its own, causing anyones mouth to drop at its wonder and spectacular architecture. It truly looked amazing in our opening ceremony photography!

A station had been set up at the entrance where the guests arrived, in great style we might add, where a celebrity wall had been created where they would be able to bring out their inner-celebrities and strike a pose as they kicked their evening off with a bang. As the guests roamed into the building it created the perfect photo opportunity for the opening ceremony photography as we captured the amazement on their faces. We absolutely loved it! The guests were greeted by a magnificent dragon installation hanging from the ceiling on the building in the centre of the room, which was one of our favourite installations. Throughout the evening was explosions of creativity and entertainment, keeping the guests entertained from the moment they arrived.

The drinks area upstairs had been done so professionally and beautifully, it was the perfect balance of simplicity and modern efficaciousness. The unfinished industrial feel gave a very powerful feeling, all the elements that were used tied in perfectly with the building itself. The contrast of the muted and modest grey walls against the pops of colours from the artworks and lighting added greatly to the sophisticated ambiance. Our most favourite decor piece were the industrial bricks that were used as the candle holders on the cocktail tables. Throughout the night the guests continued to mingle and and enjoy the beauty of where they were, accompanied by sparkling glasses of champagne and even more sparkling dance moves. All we can say is, what a great night!
