Cape Town event photography – Followme2Africa

Followme2Africa is a renowned travel company, assisting travellers with their African adventures. We were asked to do their Cape Town event photography for the 20 anniversary gala dinner, hosted at The Grand in Camps Bay. It was a surprise party, as the guests were not aware of the venue until the last minute! Glamorous ladies and gents arrived at the entrance, welcomed by the Grand staff with champagne. The guests were advised to limit their outfit colours to the company logo colours, which is yellow, white and black. The guests did a great job choosing their attire! Ladies arrived dressed in stylish black gowns, finished with evening accessories, the gents looked very handsome in dinner jackets and tuxedos. We welcomed the guests at the entrance, capturing the most important part of this Cape Town event photography – the portraits. Our responsibility was to ensure every guest had a photograph taken, which will later become part of the collage. Arriving guests were excited for the upcoming evening of celebration and fun! We documented social interactions and friendship between fellow employees. After the cocktail reception in the foyer, with lovely music from Francois, elegant crowd relocated to the main reception area, beautifully decorated in company colours, white, black and yellow. The shareholders and the employees of the company enjoyed speeches and congratulations. In our Cape Town event photography we captured the excitement of the guests, proud of their company being such a successful business. The guests enjoyed fine dinner served by famous The Grand chef. We were amazed how well the venue coordinators managed the evening, how quickly the food was served and how beautiful the dishes looked. Congratulations on the job well done, The Grand team! The celebration carried long into the night, with the blue moon shining upon everybody.
